The Arco de São Jorge Sports Club was funded in 30th April 1997 with the objective to create sporting and recreational activities. This club initiate just with table tennis here have won lots of trophies. In this moment they already have other activities such as BTT and walks taken in Madeira.

The Brass Band of Faial was founded in 1895 with the propose to join people, of that parish, to animate the parties of the parish and after of Madeira Island.  Since then that this band was been growing and participate in the parties of Faial parish and surroundings.
