Nossa Senhora da Conceição church is the main church of Machico civil parish. It was built in the end of XV century. However, this church has been restored many times, withouth changing its initial structure.  

Santo António dos Milagres chapel was built in the 17th century, in Lombo do Salão.

The Jardim da Praça de Santa Cruz is situated in the Praça Doutor João Abel de Freita which is a perfect garden to the walk in the shadow of the trees together with all flower bed. It also has lots of garden banks. This garden it`s near the commercial areas.

Alameda dos Plátanos, previouly known as Passeio de Baixo, is situated in the city centre of Machico, just behind the Machico Forum. Today, this place offer visitors excellent conditions to spend some quality time, and the opportunity of observing many plants and trees. Don’t miss a chance of visiting Alameda dos Plátanos.      

Nossa Senhora da Conceição is the patron Saint of Portugal and also the Patron Saint of Machico. It is celebrated on 8th December. After the celebration, there is great entertainment.  

This Fort dates back to the XVIII century. It was built in basaltic rock. Today, Porto Fort is in ruins.The date of construction (1793) can be found on the entrance.

 This house is dated back to the XVIII centruy. It was built by Manoel Teles de Menezes. Madeira Regional Government and Diocese of Funchal started to rebuilt this beautiful house, but it is still not finished.

This is one of the oldest manueline churches in Madeira Island.It was built in the 16th century, and is located in Lombada do Loreto. This chapel is known, among other things, for its unique manueline style. Inside the chapel, there is a beautiful painting, signed by Nicolau Ferreira, dating back to 1791.
