The Joeira it`s a homemade toy that transmit the imagination of the person. To make this toy we use bamboo cane, string to tie up the joeira and paper of all colors to ceil the structure. To stabilize the joeira during the flight are placed strip of cloth to create their tail.

Nossa Senhora da Conceição church is the main church of Machico civil parish. It was built in the end of XV century. However, this church has been restored many times, withouth changing its initial structure.
