Bolo do Caco (regional bread)

The Bolo do Caco it`s an specialty of the Madeira cuisine. Is mixed in a basin the flour as it was a bread, but when it goes yeast, carve up the breads, flatten and placed in a board of clay or iron and it`s cook in simmer. We eat this bread with garlic butter.

This type of bread it`s appreciated by the residents of the island and also the tourists that become big fans of this speciality. Is always present in the restaurants as also in the traditional parties.    
 
 

Cobs Cooked

The cobs are normally cooked in a pan with water, salt and oil together with the potatoes, cole, bean, pumpkin, paste and pork. After this been cooked, the cobs stay with a delicious taste.

The cobs always had made part of the cuisine of Madeira Island and each more is inserted in this one.

Prick in wood laurel

Cut the beef in little pieces. Season with garlic and salt. After is put in wood laurel and backed in a “half barrel” with lots of hot coal. It`s eaten in the homemade bread.
