Broa de mel
Put in a basin the flour, cinnamon, soda and chopped walnuts. Mix all. Do a pit in the middle, put the margarine, grease and lemon zest and start to crease until it had a ball form and be loose. Oil the board with margarine and make little balls and put it separated in the board and take it to cook.
The Broa de Mel it`s a type of traditional sweets in all island and it always had been appreciated by the residents.
Nowadays is being commercialized abroad in a way to appeal more tourists.
Bolo de mel
The sugar syrup always has been indispensable in the Madeira sweets that had been known worldwide by the “Bolo de Mel da Madeira”.
This sweet started to be known and making part of the residents menu which they become big fans. Is now marketed abroad and being a big success.
It make part of the restaurant menus in the island.
