Casa do Retiro is a luxurious holiday house located on the sunny south coast of Madeira Island, in the quiet village of Canhas and near the center of Ponta do Sol.

This holiday house is ready to accommodate people with mobility limitations. It consists of five bedrooms, one on the first floor and four bedrooms on the ground floor.

This amazing house has an extensive private garden with oaks and trees from the indigenous forest “Laurissilva” and various stone objects used by previous inhabitants: mills, a wine press, a well and a spacious barbecue. On the inside, the house is furnished with items that include English and Portuguese pieces over one hundred years old, as well Madeiran articles.
 
The outdoor swimming pool and the covered jacuzzi invites you to relax. There is also a solarium with sun beds and warm water showers. The large barbecue and a games room with bar, table football and billiards are great for gatherings.

Near the house is the Sta. Teresa monument, which was erected by ancestors of the present owners.

Hiking areas are just minutes away. 200 meters away there are some restaurants, cafes, supermarket, pharmacy, health center, church, and ATM.

This house is for the exclusive use of the group or couple who rent it.
