Faial parish is situated in north coast at Madeira Island, in Santana council. Actually, Faial has media population 2800 habitants.

It has a media altitude of 219 meters and is limited by Pico Ruivo where gives a huge and nice view above the sea and to the huge green mountains.

Because of his altitude and proximity to the sea, the climate of Faial parish is very mild all year, ideal to long walks through the natural reserve in Fajã da Nogueira.

Beyond the landscape, Faial offer to the visitants a resort, swimming-pools, children playground, restaurants, go-kart track (unique in the island) and camps to practice sport.

This parish also has one of the hydro in Madeira Island, hydro of Fajã da Nogueira, that stays in the left margin of Metade River.  

All years, takes places the famous Anona party. The anona is endemic fruit, very appreciated bi all population of the island.
