North of Machico, just before the tunnel leading to Ponta de São Lourenço, there is a pathway following all the way to the mountain top, to Pico do Facho. The place offers a panoramic view over the Machico valley, including the peaks on the heart of the Island, and Ponta de São Lourenço.
