It is is inserted in a historic property, which dates back to the 16th century. This property was established by the Viscounts of Torre Bela, direct descendants of the first settlers of Madeira. It has a private chapel, built in the 16th century, that bears the Coat of Arms of this British family.
Quinta do Conde offers 3 traditional self-catering houses that have been rebuilt in their original traditional structure and are now available as rural accommodations. There are also outdoor areas for barbecuing and an ample private parking area.
Guests can take a walk or simply relax in the beautiful gardens, surrounded by banana plantations and exotic fruit trees, and enjoy the amazing views over the Atlantic Ocean.
An oak tree and a dragon tree, both over 500 years old, amongst the oldest on the island, can also be observed in the gardens.
