One of the most famous dishes in Madeira Island is the “espetada madeirense”.

It is a beef cubed on a stick and grilled over an open fire. It is normally accompanied by the traditional corn and tasty “bolo do caco”,a typical home made bread.

This typical Madeiran dish is served in restaurants and also in regional festivities, also known as “arraiais”.
