The honey that it`s produced by the sugarcane it`s present in many typical specialties in this Madeira Island. 

The Broas de Mel are one of those specialties. Are consumed all the year but specially in Christmas to join with the traditional liqueur. 

To do this recipe it`s necessary:
1 kg flour;
500g sugar;
250g butter;
250g grease;
4 eggs;
2 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate;
5 tablespoon sugar syrup;
1 lemon;
cinnamon;
nutmeg

We mix the hacking ingredients, the spices and the lemon. Then we unmake the grease and join the eggs and honey and mix everything.

After that, we make balls with the mass which goes to the oven during 15 to 20 minutes. The oven has to been heated in 190º
